El 19 de abril, la ministra de Ambiente, Susana Muhamad, y la Fiscal General de la Naci\u00f3n, Luz Adriana Camargo, se reunieron para establecer una nueva hoja de ruta que buscar\u00e1 frenar a los responsables de delitos ambientales en Colombia, entre ellos a los llamados terratenientes fantasma que deforestan la Amazon\u00eda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNuestro foco fue la discusi\u00f3n sobre la deforestaci\u00f3n amaz\u00f3nica y el trabajo de investigaci\u00f3n que hemos realizado con la Fiscal\u00eda. Esperamos conjuntamente tener resultados y noticias importantes. No podemos seguir permitiendo que estas grandes operaciones de deforestaci\u00f3n contin\u00faen sin que los responsables sean llevados a la justicia\u201d, dijo la ministra de Ambiente, Susana Muhamad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/a>Tambi\u00e9n se abordaron otros cr\u00edmenes ambientales vigentes en nuestro pa\u00eds, como la extracci\u00f3n il\u00edcita de minerales, el tr\u00e1fico de fauna silvestre, y las amenazas a defensores ambientales registradas durante este a\u00f1o. Las acciones puntuales a tomar por ambas entidades todav\u00eda est\u00e1n pr\u00f3ximas a conocerse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Debe recordarse que hace poco, exactamente el pasado 8 de abril, diversas autoridades como Minambiente, el Instituto de Hidrolog\u00eda, Meteorolog\u00eda y Estudios Ambientales (Ideam), y el Instituto Amaz\u00f3nico de Investigaciones Cient\u00edficas (Sinchi) dieron a conocer los datos preliminares de deforestaci\u00f3n durante 2023 y el primer trimestre de 2024, en el que se registr\u00f3 un incremento del 40 % respecto al mismo periodo del a\u00f1o anterior.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aunque las autoridades ambientales ten\u00edan previsto este aumento en la deforestaci\u00f3n, seg\u00fan explic\u00f3 la ministra de Ambiente, \u201cno en los niveles en los que est\u00e1 subiendo\u201d.<\/strong> Las dos razones principales que lo explicar\u00edan, expuso Muhamad, son la coacci\u00f3n significativa de grupos armados y las condiciones favorables que tienen que ver con el fen\u00f3meno de El Ni\u00f1o.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

De manera m\u00e1s espec\u00edfica, el aumento se present\u00f3 en los departamentos del Meta y Caquet\u00e1. <\/strong>En el primero, las autoridades identificaron una \u201ccolonizaci\u00f3n dirigida por parte de actores todav\u00eda sin esclarecer\u201d en el municipio de Mapirip\u00e1n. En el segundo, el aumento tambi\u00e9n viene dado por una colonizaci\u00f3n dirigida en el municipio de Cuemani, que no est\u00e1 siendo realizada por campesinos sino \u201cpor actores que est\u00e1n trayendo personas vulnerables a operaciones de deforestaci\u00f3n\u201d, coment\u00f3 Muhamad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Respecto a la coacci\u00f3n de los grupos armados, la ministra explic\u00f3 que \u201cdesde octubre y noviembre, hasta este periodo, (…) ha empezado una disputa con el Estado Mayor Central (EMC, la mayor disidencia de la extinta guerrilla de las Farc) frente al campesinado (…) que busca erosionar la confianza que el Estado ha ganado con los actores de estos territorios\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La ministra Muhamad se\u00f1al\u00f3 que, as\u00ed como ha aumentado la deforestaci\u00f3n en los primeros tres meses del a\u00f1o frente al primer trimestre de 2023, tambi\u00e9n lo ha hecho la deforestaci\u00f3n en tres de los Parques Nacionales Naturales de la regi\u00f3n: Sierra de la Macarena, Tinigua y Chiribiquete.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
