Para los Piaroa una vez rayada la yuca la meten en el sebucan (una especie de colador de bejuco entretejido) para dejarlo en el r\u00edo, de manera que en el agua se vaya removiendo el l\u00edquido venenoso llamado yare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Otro grupo Ind\u00edgena como los Bar\u00e9, para extraer el jugo venenoso, el sebucan con la rayadura dentro, se cuelga de un palo y se le da vueltas para as\u00ed exprimirlo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De esta manera se obtiene la harina de yuca con la cual se procede a elaborar los siguientes alimentos: casabe que es una especie de torta que puede variar en tama\u00f1o y grosor esto depende de c\u00f3mo lo haga cada grupo ind\u00edgena, El ma\u00f1oco que es como una harina tostada, var\u00eda en color; unos lo hacen m\u00e1s amarillo y otros lo hacen de un color m\u00e1s p\u00e1lido.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tambien de ella se elabora un picante llamado guarub\u00e9 que es una mezcla de harina de yuca con ali\u00f1os. El Almid\u00f3n es otro alimento similar al ma\u00f1oco pero m\u00e1s tostado y no tiene el sabor \u00e1cido como el ma\u00f1oco.
